Not everyone who drives a performance car immediately kills themselves. Idiots will - but then idiots always have done.
The Plus 6 is a quick car. If you don't want a quick car, don't buy one. Simples.

A sad photo...
Many more will follow I think...
The BMW engine in the P6 has virtually no turbo lag... this undesirable characteristic has been designed out of 'modern' turbo engines very effectively.
It does however have strong torque/power curves and that comes on song!
My drive on the P6 on UK Winter 'damp' roads showed to me that this will easily overcome the traction afforded by even a modern 'performance' tyre. The car needs respect. And from what I have read, when it does go sideways past a certain critical angle, it's impossible to stop the inevitable swapping of ends... a bit like the Lotus Elise.
Solution... have respect for the car and power. Enjoy it according to the conditions. If you are highly skilled and confident about 'wagging' the back end around under broken traction by power, enjoy that too! But for the 'average' driver... well as we are seeing, this is another story...

If coming from a non traction controlled car to the Plus 6 then you will have the skill and ability and patience to learn how the car behaves. If like me coming from mainly a traction controlled history of cars then you may well end up in abit of trouble, I know I span the Plus8 a few times the first year of ownership, saying that I span the 3Wheeler rather alot too.

It's been mentioned already, but in the same way that old blokes with money don't go well with performance bikes, the P6 is the same.
As Kev alluded to, a few have pranged Roadsters, but the P6 is a very different proposition.
None of us are 20, and we have to accept we dont posses lightning reactions or above average skills.
Going back twelve years, at my first encounter at a Morgan dealer, I was told it's better to start with a 4/4 and work up the range. Obviously I ignored that advice and went straight for a Roadster.
Anyone coming to a P6 from a modern is likely to get bitten unless they are really careful.

Abso-bloomin-lutely. With some exceptions, Morgan owners pretty much all fall into the 50 to 70 year old cohort, and at this age declining senses and reactions are quite noticeable. We compensate with experience and roadcraft which is why we tend to be quite safe drivers compared to youngsters, but our abilities to catch a slide and stuff are generally much worse. That's why I like my 4/4 so much, I can have a laugh at sensible speeds. Of course there are driving gods out there who will declare they are easily capable of mastering a P6 in all conditions, but there are far more out there with loads of money and a somewhat inflated idea of their own abilities. Anyone coming to a P6 from a modern is likely to get bitten unless they are really careful.
Fixed that for you.

Very true, I went straight into a Classic Plus 8 from traction control etc and it was quite a learning curve involving a couple of hairy slides in the damp and that's with 190bhp on tap so one can only imagine the sphincter exercise with the Plus Six. I do think that airbags should be standard though on the new model.
