He forgot to mention barbecues, open fireplaces, house and business heating and airconditioning, driving to the commercial centre instead of walking to the corner shop and having bread and milk delivered, etc.
Apparently, according to MAG, it does not apply to two wheeled vehicles. so if you all buy a bike, it will ensure the supply of petrol for many years to come

There is a proper feast of negativity going on here. I've lived a long time, and in my lifetime I have almost always seen life getting better. Clothes improve, the economy improves, cars improve, medicies imrpove, houses are better, and so on. I have every confidence that will contunue to be the case.
The future will be different but that doesnt mean worse. Cheer up you miseries!
Petrol, and diesel for that matter, will still be available long after 2035 date. So Tarka will still be doing its bit for the environment long after I've stopped driving. I also feel that the 2035 date will be like the date for the opening of the London Cross Rail, and for many similar reasons.

I hope you are correct but unfortunately we are going through a period of very rapid change. There is no argument that we are undergoing a change in climate with a rapidity that is unprecedented. This is coupled with various aspects of travel, communication, medicine, and technology together with a world population that is unsupportable, particularly in arid zones. The current wave of immigration is only going to get worse as people try to improve their lot.
The "New Corona Virus" could well change this dynamic. There are no verifiable facts from any source, but if it becomes a true "Spanish Flu" type pandemic I predict upwards of half a billion deaths by the end of 2021.

A number of years ago (probably about 10) there was a report on environmentally friendly vehicles. Morgan's ranked at the top because 87% of the vehicle is recyclable with low mileage compared to other vehicles. Can't find the report now but just saying!!!!
