Well we took The Roadster to the Limousin at the weekend: first up the A20 but returning we came across country which was very different, with long sweeping traffic free well surfaced roads and not a few folk to wave at. I guess we never got to 90kph on that route and yet from fill up to fill up seemed to have achieved just under 7litres per 100ks which replicates my first overall consumption, driving from Kent to here, three years ago. In addition, we had the hood up due to an eye infectiion (not mine) and it was really nice.

John'
I think Dave W made a similar comment about his new car: how does it seem to go so fast? Our perception of time is interesting. Do you remember those days in school when that lesson seemed as if it would never end but the holidays just whizzed by - and the same applied to those of us teaching.

Cleaned and polished the old plus 8 for the Auckland inter marque concours last weekend. A very pleasant day spent with other morganeers (we have had 40 days without rain) . The organisers obviously are on to it they positioned us again under a large sign saying bonecrusher ! (A very successful race horse) this was after all at the main Auckland horse racing track.
Better than this we once again shared the space with the Aston Martin club - very appropriate I thought with current share holdings, the question now remains who will last the longest ....

Waikiore,
we are back exactly a week now from NZ and are really missing your great weather. Roll on summer.
Glad the +8 is proving so much fun after nearly 2 years of ownership

Hi John
A pity we didn't know that you were coming, a sail on Auckland harbour or the Hauraki gulf would have been my pleasure, anyway I am now trying to organise this years visit to Norfolk and hoping to include Goodwood revival at the end.
All the best Murray

Murray, we were very busy with what we planned but thanks for the thought. If you are in Norfolk then why not come to some of the Folkmog events or look us up in Suffolk

Managed to do a circuit of about 37 miles this afternoon, just to get a bit of driving in before the storm gets here. Drove to the seafront at New Quay to have a quick peek at the sea. Home in time for tea and biscuits!
