I've also mounted one. It is great fun! But beware: In the Netherlands such a sound is forbidden for everyday use and the car wil not get through the MOT!! So always keep the original horn!

Any advice for implementing in a positive ground classic? Edwin, on mine the case was plastic & both contacts were insulated so if wired correctly, should be fine

Any advice for implementing in a positive ground classic? If it's a series wound motor it won't be polarity sensitive. The original Klaxon brand horns were such unless modified, but had casing isolated connections anyway.

When I bought our +4 in the UK, there was already one on the car. I changed it for a standard one to import the car in Belgium. Afterwards I re-installed the Ahoogah horn and had no problems getting it MOT-ed. Love the sound

The more I read here on TM the more I appreciate just how much attention the previous owner lavished care and upgrades to his now mine +8. The duchess has an ahoogah-horn which sounds excellent and appropriate. I am very fortunate to have found such a vehicle with very few missing upgrades.
My small upgrades of doors stays and bump stops pale into insignificance to previous owners list.

That’s a shame bonesie, you’re just going to have to shout out the noise yourself until all this blows over.

I admit to a secret longing for a Dixie air horn. Or how about this one for anyone with a landrover hereAnd another that your passenger can activate here
