Trying to find out more about NCK Racing who used to work out of Mallory Park in the late 90's from my searching it would appear to be related to Graham Nash The Duchess had a gas flowed head and manifold along with "NCK sports Pak & chip tune to 6000rpm". I've yet to open the ecu to see if it was changed out or not. I can't find out any specifics and the invoice is s vague as my description. The only other reference to the sports pack is on a Marcos site where the owner had the same upgrade applied to it. Does anybody here know any more about what they did in respect of the tune, like ferkle with the existing chip or replace with another? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/02/14/20200214_082651.jpg) Rgds Lumpy

I came across this old discussion on PistonHeads about rev limits on Rover V8, the post. At the bottom of 1st page is an interesting post from a chap called Mark. It gives some insights into the 6000rpm settings limit. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=13&t=774411I'll have to look see if it a the standard chip or not Lumpy

If it's a fairly standard v8 you don't have to worry about revs, the hydraulic rockers won't let you go to Wild on the revs.

I have been able to discover some more of the history behind the upgrade and retune. North Coventry Kawasaki (NCK) was set-up and owned by two brothers, Graham & Allan Nash. Dom Trickett was there main engineer at that time took up the reins after the Nash's exit following their sale of NCK to TVR (to become TVR Power, and more recently Powers Performance). Dom is still there today! See: https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=VhWbCgAAQBAJ&a... for more information. Indeed, Graham Nash still trades as NCK Motorsport ( http://www.perfectpower.com/index.php/united-kingd... ). I recently contacted Graham and he stated that the ecu would have been exchanged out for an upgrade as the factory standard Landrover was not tuneable NCK produced and retuned over a hundred RV8s during their time. Graham Nash followed up with some info on the outcome of the overall tune and the effect on the bhp:
In the day it was 245 to 260 bhp increase although fuel has gone down hill since then so i doubt you can run 36 deg total ign timing more like 30 to 32 so around 225bhp now.
