Just a quick hello to everyone from this new memeber.
I have joined the ranks of Morgan owners with my 1995 +4 T16.
I am equally over the moon and at the same time terrified at what ownership will bring after reading all the so called expert motor journalist reports versus club members real world views.
Its a big step up both financially and lifestyle after years of running and refurbishing British motorcycles, which I no longer find enjoyable out on the open road, mainly due to losing so many friends after accidents attributed to the main cause of motorcycle road deaths ie. car drivers "sorry I didnt see you" syndrome.
Anyway I hope this forum will be an ongoing source of valuable information and hope to make some new friends along the way. Colin , your Mog will no doubt be a lot better bet than riding a motorbike on todays roads !

Welcome Colin. As a relative "Newbie" myself to both Morgan ownership and Talk Morgan, I can't commend both highly enough. After 35+ years of bike ownership and so called "Supercars"; Bentley, Porsche and Aston. The latter was a sure fired way of fund depletion, due to the complexity and cost of maintaining and the former, once you reach a certain age, dangerous!!!
My Morgan (Marty) is a 2011 Plus 4 with the Ford 2.0 Duratec engine mated to a Mazda 5 speed gearbox. You will I am sure get into the 'personalisation' as hardly any 2 Morgans are the same!! The initial outlay was significant but running costs very sensible, and what other marque offers degree of exclusivity, back to basics motoring with undisputable stunning looks.
The knowledge of members here is second to none and if you have an issue or a question it will generate lots of responses.
Enjoy your car in the knowledge you are now part of the Morgan Family!!!!!

Welcome from another "ex biker".. I stopped enjoying riding bikes about 2012, so I stopped and moved to a Morgan.
Then in 2016 I returned to riding, well I bought a bike, spent a long time looking at it and very little time riding: in a year I rode less and 1000 miles. So I finally got rid of it, all the gear (other than a helmet for when I get a M3W....!!)
The first Morgan had morphed into a Plus 8 in 2014 and I concluded that really was the way forward.
Never looked back....

Big welcome to TM from just north of Stamford (but not quite as north as you). Not so much an ex biker but an ex mopeder. Does that count?
Only got rid of it coz was a bit accident prone and came off/knocked off too often over a 12 month period due to being bit lairy and too much of a stupid adrenaline junky when younger (at least 5 times-ooops) so took the hint and got rid! (Once the plaster came off broken limbs)

I suspect Morgan 110 and Morgan wife when they take delivery.
Non that I know of in Orkney or Shetland, but I could be wrong.
