Thought I might fit a fire extinguisher in the cab. As we know, space is tight so I thought it could go above the transmission tunnel. It seemed the most in the way, out of the way place

I made some rough cutouts in paper which I then transferred to the laser and cut out in 6mm MDF. As you can see, the whole lot just slides over the tunnel with a bit of a pinch fit. I sprayed the lot black and covered the flat bit in the same leather as the seats.
Quite chuffed with it. We will see how it is and if its in a decent spot in real world use when the weather dries up a bit and I can get out !

That looks v impressive Bonesie.
I am in the process of getting Allon White to make me a centre console/armrest to lean on/store sunglasses etc. As an alternative could summat be designed to fit between the two seats against the shelf unit/luggage bit at the back, behind the drivers left arm if that makes any sense? Trying to think of places where it is both convenient and not taking up valuable usable space that’s all....am merely thinking out loud and it is entirely possible that there really is insufficient space of course!

I've got mine slid down the side of my seat to the right of the drivers seat

Sits snugly against the seat rail and the side of the car. I put it in a sock for protection.

Not as visible as yours but neatly out of harms way.

I did think of making a shallow tray for bits n bobs instead of this. Ive got the drawing done now so with a bit of mod I could make another unit if the position of the extinguisher is not practical.

I might strip the paint and polish up the extinguisher. That should look quite cool :-)

I fitted my extinguisher just in front of the passenger seat by the chassis rail. Its out of the way and makes use of some space, lots of room still under a passengers legs.

My old 4/4 had a centre cubby box, useful as an arm rest too.

That was the other spot I was looking at,Steve. I have my ali box under my legs and treacle likes to put her handbag under hers so that spot is out !!

Has anyone fitted a remote extinguisher under the bonnet ?

Being Yorkshire by design I refused to pay £450 for center armrest so I purchased this item on Ebay for £20..

And it works really well...I have a black interior so it fits in well.
