I always hated the plastic dash in my 4/4 Sport..

I like a wood dash but I think the body colour dashboards are nice as well. But wood just seems so traditional.

Richard, my 4/4 dash is made of plywood, not plastic, even if it is painted.

I love the 4/4. It the purest and most quintessential Morgan. I wish the Roadster had the narrow body of the 4/4. I know it needs the wider wings for stability but the narrow bodied 4/4 is pure class.

Better rear visibility is an advantage of the traditional hood. There has to be some advantage to make up for the inconvenience 😉

David, I see it so that both models are round and harmonious. Each in its own way. A narrow Trad Plus4 ok. But the Roadster is in the tradition of the Plus 8 and she has great performance and it should have the strong appearance as it is. That all fits together very well. Enjoy your new car thumbs cheers

My first teenage contact to Morgan was a dark blue +8.
May be that is why I love the wide wings. The 4/4 is not my favorite...

Hi David

Dove grey looks fab and incidentally now £834.00 extra on the Plus Four.

Whilst on the subject of options The Black pack looks great with the black hood and now the Black Pack is £954.00. Black wires are now £2034.00..... plus another £600 for the Spare!

On top of that you no longer get soft leather which is now £1554.00 and leather sills and transmission tunnel which was standard on Trads is now known as extended leather and will cost you £474.00 extra. Leather seat backs also standard on the Trad is £594.00 extra. You also have the very comfortable Trad seats fitted rather than the new flat Plus 6 type seats.

So not only a great car and final edition Trad but also a bargain!

Morgan always had a lot of premium options. But the new strategy is a little scary. Colors, spoked tires, partial leather, full leather, etc. And what a high cost, my goodness...

Thanks Rob. Those options are now so expensive. I thought my car was pricey at £63,000. If I had those options now on a Plus 4, in addition to the after market extras I will be getting, it would, probably approach 80k.

Hi David

Yes It would be interesting to do the sums bearing in mind you do get Power Steering, ABS, and a Mohair Hood as standard on the Plus Four!

Seems as if Morgan have at last followed the advice of Sir John Harvey Jones !

A thank you also to the two TM members I saw in the factory reception but whose names I did not pick up in all the excitement!

We had a nice chat with Steve Morris and Morgan archivist and author Martyn Webb.

It’s funny how you agonise over car choices but in the end it all looks fantastic - to my eyes anyway!

I’ve been trying to post some photos but failing miserably !

Nice to meet you at the Factory David and pleased that you were able to post some photos, your car looks stunning and I bet you can’t wait to take delivery. Looking forward to seeing the photos of it on the road. 😀
