I would perhaps say that one of the large factors in buying a Morgan would be the people behind it and where it is made; a unique heritage, if you will.

Do you shop the same in other areas?

By that I mean, if you went out to buy a dinner service would you make sure it's from Staffordshire and not China? Carpets from Devon, not... erm, China? Beds made in West London, not the West Wing of the International Space Station? Cutlery from Sheffield, not Toledo?

I love products that are inherently British (and handcrafted) as I feel they make up a fabric of my life (and my past), the above being some examples. That isn't to say examples of the above from other places are inferior, just that when I think 'carpet' I think 'Axminster', 'shotguns' I think 'Purdey', etc.

While currently partly assembled in Switzerland and finished in England, I like what Bremont watches are doing and they are English designed and owned.

Naim audio are also excellent.

I also really like Bremont. Of course, there is always George Daniels, the world's finest watchmaker!

We have a real glut of excellent hi-fi, actually, from the traditional manufacturers like Naim, Linn, B&W through to the cutting-edge Meridian, Wilson Benesch and the like.

There are many excellent British watch makers; many of whom have been forgotten. Bremont are making a big splash in a competitive market place and I'm glad because having met the owners/brothers, their passion and dedication to quality is evident.

Not quite in the same league, but I have been looking at Christopher warr watches. Good swizz moment etc.

Boy, it is not easy doing this on a smart phone.
