Not yet. I had no opportunity to drive them. The Morgan is still in the shop for repairs and the owner of the Healey is on vacation. Plus we must wait for the correct street conditions.

Thank you guys I must admit, that I‘m still torn apart. If I had the money, I would certainly buy both. At the moment, one day I think, that a Morgan is the only one to go for, but he other day, it’s the Healey. The owner of the Healey is a, I wold not say, „friend“, but a chap, I used do work with, whom I know more than 20 years and whom I see regularly. His Healey is, without any doubt, a very good one. On the other hand, there is the „little old lady“ +8 who owns it since more than 20 years, and sells it, because she ordered a new +6. I don‘t know the maintenance history yet, but the car is in the shop now, and everything „obvious“ is being done. There is just one thing, where I am very concerned with the +8. That is the Lucas injection. How reliable is it? I mean… Lucas does not have the best reputation out there… The SU carburettors from the Healey are so much less frightening… Anyway… I‘m looking forward driving both and then, listen to my heart. Sunny greetings, Ivo

Richard Thorne has an immaculate 1969 Plus 8 Moss Box 3.5 for sale, if you were in the market for that vintage. Its a famous car that was featured in the Hayes Plus 8 book and John Worral's Original Morgan. I have taken a look at it and its a lovely example of the breed, all original and pure to the +8 ethos. Personally I would go for that if I were in the market for a Plus 8. Just food for thought. https://www.rtcc.co.uk/cars/1969-morgan-plus-8/

Ok , Healeys are wonderful to look at but driving could be a bit disapointing in that they aren't very swift or that nice to drive . A rover engined plus 8 3,9 is going to be a lot faster in fact it will be quite a handful but with a bit of tweeking of suspension and tuning it will be a hell of a rapid beast ! ok I'm slightly biased but do like Healeys as well !

I like a Healey, always have. One day I bought pine and drive it.
Now I’ve driven lots of cars and I get old cars, I’m not fussy and can see merit in most but the Healey was horrid, like driving a truck.
It was quickly sold.
