Reminds me of a test drive in a Brooklands M3W, December 2015. Hail appeared out of nowwhere just as I swapped seats with Phil Ledgerwood. Swore the hail left dents in my forehead but I still bought one

A bit brighter this morning, but only had time for 30 miles or so. Nice to get out before yet another storm comes in!
Great picture
I have managed to get out every few days all the way through winter. I restrict myself to A roads in this area as the B roads are deteriorating very quickly, most of the pretty routes through the Surrey Hills are now impassible for a Morgan so I stay away. While Mole Valley Council are trying to repair the worst I think they are losing the fight. Frankly, as a Nation I think we are in denial about how much it costs to be a first world country, our services, roads, emergency services, NHS, cost far more than successive Governments think we will pay for. I believe they are wrong about that and if we were presented the facts and treated like adults most of us would realise that we are heading for a fiscal cliff edge and will have to stump up. Plenty available for HS2 of course. Rant over.

Agree on the fiscal policy and on HS2. In New Zealand despite a small population and a huge country it was very rare to find a pot hole or if there were ones they were being repaired.

A great run in beautiful, if cold, weather to Budleigh Salterton via Woodbury Common First attempt at embedding a video - hope this works! Won't do this often as most dash cam video's are pretty dull to anyone but the poster and, anyway, the internet upload speed here is dismal! - (roll on "Jurassic Fibre" extending their FTTP system to our area) (a pity that the broadband provider's name sounds unfortunately like some prehistoric breakfast offering!)
