Must admit that bringing home Brits from China under strict quarantine with a military style transfer..... And then letting random people fly in and wander off into the centre of London doesn't look like joined up thinking to me.

That's what you get for letting BA be in charge of the plan.

From what I've heard on the news, the jump in cases was due to a new way they are classifying those that show signs. It doesn't mean that thousands more were suddenly infected.

Regarding cruises, my wife and I went on a 3 day cruise years ago. Not a fan of being stuck in one place with so many others, and having to wait in line for everything. Besides, if I am on a boat I want to be working the sails!

An interesting study from a clinic in Wuhan to get a first qualitative impression of the virus, the course of disease and the different causes of death. I am no expert but isn't it unusual that one and the same virus Covid19 causes both pneumonia and kidney failure as cause of death? Of course I know that you don't die from the virus "itself" but it seems to weaken the body in different ways or cause different symptoms, similar to the immunodeficiency of HIV but probably in a different way than immunodeficiency but which is not yet known.

It is for the laymen of us including me helpful to read first „discussion“ and „conclusions“.

Last seen delivering all over Europe... At least it's an EV.... hide Do you think they will rename all Chinese takeaways now ?

It was a truck like this that did our weekly delivery down the loke that we lived at the end off in Seething.

My English humour aside for one moment I sincerely hope this doesn't cause too much disruption to those of you that have planned your road trips to Europe.

Me too. Trips are planned. But the reality is it is twice as contagious as flu & roughly 20% die from it..
Meanwhile I look at my pension fund and weep as the new Morgan disappears. That is a first world problem compared to the virus. Be thankful we are still for now well.
