You can join the switched and non switched together and just wire to a fused acc. Live problem with this is the possibility of leaving one or both switched on with the car engine not running - I think a flat battery would be the result. The kit I have uses the ignition feed to activate a relay to allow current to flow through the warming pads. Ignition off and no current flows so no flat battery. just re-read and you did suggest acc live, but on my fuse box that's not the easiest to find as it certainly doesn't follow any of the published diagrams. cheers

I'd be interested in the link to the Amazon site please. I've been thinking of doing this for ages, just haven't got around to it yet.

Are they easy to fit? Thinking the Reclining seat in a 1996 and 2007 car?

can't comment on the reclining seats, they are something I dream of but alas do not possess.
In the non-recliners fitted to my car they're relatively easy to fit.
Seat out, remove the trim clips, stuff the heating pads into the seat (gynaecology skills help here) and reassemble.
The wiring is relatively straightforward too.
Access is, however, dreadful. If you're bendy and agile you might be fine, I'm not and I'm still hurting!
