Diagnosis at the hospital
Doctor: I have some bad news for yor, i am very sorry, you have Covid 19, TB, AIDS and Malaria, a very rare combination. We are going to admit you and you will be admitted to your own room in our infectious diseases unit.
Patient: Oh my good, thats terrible. What’s the treatment, what is going to happen?
Doctor: It will take time, you will need to understand that, you will need to go on a special diet to begin with
Patient: What am I going to have to eat?
Doctor: We will start with Kraft Cheese Slices.
Patient: Will that help me to get better?
Doctor: No, but its all we can slide under the door. ............ This thread or the Joke topic?
We have a much better diet in Italy. They have just slid my pizza under the door. In the last couple of days I have seen 2 people wearing medical masks. Both of them had it covering the mouth but under the nose. I can't work out how they thought that would protect them.

It seems they have finally found who introduced the virus into Italy. Contrary to expectations it seems to have come from Germany. The first contagion in Europe seems to have been in Germany from contact with a Chinese who was only lightly effected but fell ill on the return flight to China.
I notice in the UK news that visitors returning to the UK from Italy are advised to self isolate if they have symptoms. This does not take into account the 130 deaths, 13.300 hospitalised and a total of 79.263 cases of what is being reported as "influenza" in Germany. I imagine there are many more cases in other European countries than are being reported as COVID-19. The fact is that Italy is doing more screening than anyone else so more cases are being registered (it is also free under the Italian health system).

The bad news - it won't. The good news is that it may protect you to a small degree provided it is not over damp when it fails to do anything useful! The really good news, it makes it easy to spot the ones to avoid due to lack of understanding.

I used to be responsible for the process development of Kraft cheese slices. Any questions please ask.

Do they still exist? I thought they could no longer call them "cheese" due to truth in labelling legislation.

Interesting to not that in @ 6 weeks of the this thread starting @ 114 postings have been added, whilst the " What does a no deal Brexit look like " thread in the Soap Box had received @ 450 postings in the same time frame, it looks to me like we do not care about dying as much as we care about Brexit.

You might just have doomed this thread!! ..... those with a bee in their bonnet about Brexit (on either side) seem pathologically incapable of compartmentalising it ..... brace for incoming!! (Tho hopefully flagging it up might make them bite their tongues and disinfect the thread from 'mutation' ....but don't hold your breath) K
