Hi, I am searching for the right insurance cover for my 97/+8 and would like to know what you have been quoted and by whom, if that is OK with you. Please let me know the basics of your cover parameters such as carrier, age, mls, track day, NCB, days abroad, agreed value, premium. Does Morgan Club Membership bring the price down? Cheers Romax

We went with Gott & Wynn, mainly to protect a NCB which would be lost otherwise. It costs £280 a year, comprehensive, 5K miles, with 2 drivers, includes foreign travel for more than we need (31days?) Track days extra but cheap I believe. It's not really a classic car policy but was with the same company who quoted an extra £500 when I asked direct with them. May be a bit high still but acceptable. Will be interested to see what other replies you get. Cheers
Dave

I'm with the MMC insurance scheme (60 going on 50!), took my main vehicle ncb into account, £260 pa. comprehensive and 5K miles so very similar to above.
The insurer of my previous sports car was LV who demanded a Thatcham approved alarm fitted......every alarm company i approached burst out laughing when I said it was for a Morgan!
Jays Former Morgan owner. Gone but hopefully not forgotten!

I've just renewed with Gott & Wynne, £264, 3k miles, agreed value (which is important for a Morgan!) 1 driver, foreign cover (can't remember how much) and an offer of breakdown cover for £20. They advertise special prices for MSCC members but in reality every Mog owner gets the same (very reasonable)price

Very happy with them over the last five years plus my dealer was very positive about the way they went about OKay- ing any repairs Another thing which impressed me was that they were very good about the 'agreed value' issue and there was no trouble incorporating the mods I'd added to the car G

Romax, I raised this insurance thread some time back with varying in the most part helpful responses. In the end I went with Admiral for both my BMW (30K)and roadster(35K) fully comprehensive (2 x car policy) is £690. London garage for the roadster and drive for the BMW. Thats with 8 yrs NCB covering 6000 miles pa for each car. Also includes breakdown cover---with the morgan I had two low-loader recoveries (under warrenty) in the first six months of ownership so this was a good deal for me .Also includes foreign travel. And finally for £25 per week they were prepared to insure my 22 year old son Josh on the Morgan!!! However after I mentioned this prevously on TM the outcry was so loud ---well meant advice like ---Are you completely MAD???? ---I have not let him drive it since!!!!He has told me subsequently that TM has been a bad influence on me these last 18 months---I wonder why?. Hope this all helps

I may have a problem forbiding my daughter but I guess all Dads would agree & SWMBO would definitely agree!!!
