As we were going away for this weekend and rain was forecast I knocked up an Umbrella holder for the car. You could of course take a folding one, but when wet and inside car it might start fog up the windscreen.
It’s a piece of 50mm drain pipe, 1 meter long and coated in some spare Carbon fibre wrap I had lying around. The end caps, also drain pipe items were sprayed with black plastidip and one end glued on, the other sanded down Inside to make the fit looser then retained with $3.00 D pin ( not sure hat they are actually called ). The whole thing then just strapped to the luggage rack.
All up cost around $25.00, it works a treat takes a full sized golf umbrella and in my biased opinion looks rather swish 😄.

WOW! That’s serious money! $358.00 Australian !
The plastic pipe one will be lighter too and it’s quite thick walled. I initially mounted mine at the bottom like the one in the Williams website photo that I went to after you posted, but it obscured the brake Lights a bit.
Plus mounted at the top with those cheap pull to tighten straps it takes part of the load resting on the tires and is easy to remove if you want to.
I was going to just spray the whole thing either black or silver until I remembered the carbon wrap film I had lying around. I like the look of the wrap though and would have cost me very little on eBay when I bought it.
It’s the fun of thinking of the idea and then making it that I enjoy........ sometimes the ideas even work 😂
