It's a very neat job, it looks good & is much more cost-effective than the Williams solution, and I don't mean to be critical, but I've never quite understood the need?

If you want to get out of the car in the rain surely you need the umbrella inside the car with you? Ours lives next to the passenger seat so it's ready to hand when needed. When you get back to the car the umbrella is either dry again so it can go back inside, or it's still wet in which case it gets tied to the luggage rack out in the open where it can dry off as you drive home.

I use ours most often when driving top-down in showery weather, if you get a sudden rainstorm it's usually easier to pull over and wait for the shower to pass than faff about putting the roof up.

Only in the UK would somebody not put the hood up in showery weather somestick

PS. We keep two folding umbrellas next to the passenger seat too.
