ABC news here saying it is not confirmed. (but it does seem likely. One team is out already) They need to make their mind up soon as fans are arriving at the track now.... Confirmation it is going ahead has just come through

Mass confusion here now at the GP.
They aren't opening the gates at 8.45am local as planned
This is not resolved yet but the teams are apparently packing up.

So they decided that a few thousand people all packed into the stands would be a health hazard but it's OK to keep them shoulder to shoulder at the gates. This decision should have been made last night.

The AUD$ has dropped 5 cents against the both the USD$ and the EUR€ in the last month. It was already down because of the US China trade bunfight and this has just added to its woes. The GBP£ and the USD$ have dropped against the EUR€ too. I really have trouble working out why some of these currency fluctuations happen sometimes - but I suppose if I could work it out I would be a wealthy man.
