I know at least one person who has been waiting for that.

That design still looks so good.

Does Morgan own the body design though?

The cars were designed (I think) and built by Chris Lawrence. Each one is slightly different and any new car inspired by the design would be as different as say the Triking is from the original Morgan 3 wheeler that inspired it. As such I doubt very much that anyone would be able to claim an infringement of design rights.

I wonder what it would cost to build a one-off hand beaten aluminium body these days. To shortcut a few things you would probably want to incorporate at least the glass, and perhaps window winders and other mechanisms, from something else. Perhaps an F-Type smile

The side profile is very good, but the front 3/4 I find a bit out of proportion...………………….the bulge over the front arches, and the "large" front.

Yes if and a big if they were to build a special on the CX chassis they would do better to base it on a Ferrari GTO for instance a really nice looking well proportioned car.

Or resurrect the EVA project.

The SLR is ok but nothing special about it for me they always look a bit clunky to me in particular the front end.

Yes you feel the time and market is right for it now somehow, so I suppose that's saying it was a bit before it's time.
