Fairly new to the 'Morgan Experience'- but thoroughly enjoying myself. Can anyone give me the benefit of their experience in fixing speakers into a 2006 +4? The most obvious place seems to be on the sidewalls of the footwells. I haven't tried to take the carpet covering out yet to see if any provision has been made at the factory but I think I remember reading in a forum that holes/wiring are already in place on other models. So far I haven't been able to look at any similar +4s to see how others have done the radio/ speaker fix so I'd be grateful for any tips. I'm not trying to obtain hifi results, I enjoy that exhaust note, just traffic news and a bit of low speed music etc. Regards, jrd

The footwells certainly would seem the best place. This is where they are located on newer cars from the factory. I would carefully check before buying speakers as there is not too much clearance space with regards to the depth of the speaker. Mine are clarion fitted by the factory. I also strongly recommend getting a head unit with a remote control as reaching the radio on the move is almost impossible!

I didnt spec the radio in my 2008 plus4 but I found that all the wiring was in place including the std connectors. In my car you could feel the round cut-out for the speakers under the trim in the footwells. My dealer fitted standard 10cm Pioneer speakers. I didnt want a visible antenna so I put a stick-on (Halfords) under the carpet at the edge of the parcell shelf and got good enough reception for the stronger stations. Hope this helps, Cheers J

This might be what you have behind your trim!

On my 97+4 they are at the back in the wheel arches. I agree on having a remote control. I fixed the remote to the back side of the dash with velcro.

Oh stainless steel, unlike the powder coated mild steel rusty rubbish in my 97 4/4.
Remote controls to radio, had one of those absolutely fantastic until some toe rag pinched it, and the radio!
Anyone got similar pictures of a 1997 car?

My Sport doesn't seem to be wired up for a radio....there's nothing behind the radio panel so I'm assuming no speaker wiring is there either. Don't know why Morgan can't just fit a standard loom to all models.
