Has anyone replaced the clock on their Mog? Mine isn't working and also the chrome bezel, glass and seal fell out and doesn't want to go back? Any advice on options appreciated. John 2011 Plus 4 (Marty)

Release dashboard, check electrical supply and earth to clock. If ok, then clock is probably duff, so replace. Before paying Morgan OTT prices, check out Holdens and other on line suppliers for a Smiths clock, 52mm diameter. It’ll probably be much cheaper, certainly well less than £100 inc. VAT.

Hi Deejay, Thanks for that, can you advise on the dash board release as I don't wish to risk "unplugging" anything by accident!!!! Cheers, John

John 2011 Plus 4 (Marty) Pete757 might be a long shorty with the instructions, he installed one to his 4/4 Anniversary, there's pictures on here somewhere?

Disconnect the power at the battery or the fuse box.
Not sure of the age of your car. If you can simply reach underneath then disconnect the power & earth feeds & pull out the light bulb connector. The clock should be held on by two knurled nuts. Unscrew these & remove the U shaped clamp & it fall out. If you have an undertray beneath the dash I think they are held on by lots of screws. Hope that helps.
But first I would check it has power to it.

The factory fit clocks are 60mm Smiths clocks and have a rounded chrome bezel to match the Speedo and Rev Counter. The 52mm clocks have a squarer bezel as far as know. Smiths Flight Guages

Hi Deejay, Thanks for that, can you advise on the dash board release as I don't wish to risk "unplugging" anything by accident!!!! Cheers, John Your 2011 +4 will have a black plastic undertray, so you cannot reach up from underneath as John first suggested. Having disconnected battery, you need to remove all the little screws (maybe half a dozen or so) underneath that secure the undertray to the wooden dashboard. The tray itself will stay in place. Then lower the steering column to its lowest position and put an old towel or similar on it to prevent scratching the dash. Empty the glove box as that will come away with the dash. Remove the three screws that secure the dash to the bulkhead (one each end and one in the top centre) and carefully ease the dash away towards you. Watch out for any connectors that might fall off. You can then see the clock etc.as John described. I had not realised the difference in diameter between OE and other types so make sure you check before ordering, and yes bezels can be slightly different as well. Your clock may be OE or a retrofit. When replacing dash, double check all connectors in place and ensure that you get the screws to go back in the same holes as there is a bit of tolerance on dashboard fit. Whilst dash is off, check security and possible leaks of windscreen washer tubes, lubricate heater mechanism and you might even want to install a water protector as recently described by Dave W. in another post. Good luck.
