The wedding was late due to bringing me back to life by I was rough . The Brides dad said tonight we get John Drunk only to be told to late . But you lads need to be taught the English way in one pub loads of Good looking German Girls and the men only stand at the bar and drink . I must have cracked as I did the same .

Well thanks to everyone for your welcome messages.

Here's the problem..........I had the Morgan delivered for 2nd March and as the weather was not too good at the time decided not to tax it until 1st April which would give me some time to look it over and see what needed doing. Well apart from fitting a battery conditioner and sourcing some cassettes for the radio / cassette player ( I knew keeping them in a box in the loft was a good idea ) there was nothing needed doing until I could get out on the road and see what happened.
Well what happened was Covid-19.

As a result my new toy hasn't moved more than to the end of the road and back and no chance of being allowed out anytime soon. I know it's the same for all of you, but at least you had the pleasure of driving before isolation to think back on and memories of what used to be. Nothing can bring me out of my despondent state other than a delivery of young nubile maidens.

Hi Colin

Bloody hell mate you live in Selby with all those glorious roads. Her indoors grew up in Cookridge (Leeds) before moving to midlands so we have had wonderful weekends visiting relatives in your part of the world. Happy days are just around the corner.

I know how you feel.

We collected our first Morgan in early August 2003 and drove it home from near Kidderminster to South Nottinghamshire. On 30th August I took a bit of a tumble fro, my horse and broke my collar bone and 3 ribs (as well as a punctured lung). It was 6 weeks before I could drive it - and one of our best ever summers. The advantage I and over you in your current predicament was that after 3 weeks I could get swmbo to tale me out for a drive in it. She was not happy with me in the passenger seat shouting "go on, give it some beans" all the time.

Like the current predicament, the time will pass and we will all be out and about again. Today is another day closer to that normality we all dream of - whenever it is.

Welcome to TM - and enjoy the polishing and pampering until then.

Welcome to TM. You will find this forum first class with lots of first class knowledge. This virus thing will one day be history and you be on the road. In the meantime stay safe. What year/type, colour is your MOG?

Hi Colin and welcome to the Forum (Which is brilliant, by the way). I am in a similar position, took delivery of my Plus 4 in January, looked at it in my garage (Stunning motor car but sad I know) and delayed taxing it due to the weather here in Wales at the time.
Looking forward to driving it around the serene Pembrokeshire countryside and meeting up with other Morgan owners in Taffmog - then the Covid virus hit us!!!!
Luckily I had planned some improvements and upgrades during the early part of my ownership and purchased lots of bits and pieces, so these are being progressed quicker than they might have been. It's also provided an opportunity to get intimate with my Mog (They are all individual, as I am sure you will find out), a big change from my previous indulgences, Bentley, Aston, Porsche & Jaguar.
Lots of things to do to improve and personalise to your own taste and you will find the dealerships and indeed here on TM, there is a wealth of information available.
Enjoy (When you can), and best wishes.

Bad luck, the good news is that you are fit and healthy, the other thing that COVID-19 snuffs up has not got to you. I am looking forward to when we can drive out and do our bit for making people smile as they see the cars again. Let's hope the weather stays well for when we can get out. This sunshine is almost as annoying as we cannot get out with the top down!

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
