Have got a new speedo installed in my 4/4 sport but it was not calibrated for this car, anyone know the correct calibration number for this model?

When my 4/4 Sport was delivered in 2009, my speedo was quite optimistic ( 15-20% too high); the calibration was set at 21000 p/min. A friend of mine who also owned a 4/4 Sport had sorted out the right set up for the calibration at 22760 p/min. I chequed it out at the highway ( in Belgium a sign post every 100 meter) and that set-up was correct for a distance of 30 kms!
To calibrate you have to press the button beneath the dashboard, then put on the contact and the calibration figures begin to flash one by one; you set them at 22760.

Great, I have already played with the calibration and stopped at 25000 which at that moment started to look ok coming from 5340 which the dealer advised.

How do you actually set the correct calibration figure? Does the value cycle through as you press the button?

à propos.... I got a friendly hint fom the French forum (thanks)to re-calibrate my speedo, after it quit working last week.

Tried it with 5360, 4500 and reset it back to 2653. No result Anyone out there with the right code for the Mark II Roadster? Thank you

You push the button under the dashbord and keep pushed in and at the same time switch on the ignition, then will the indication on the speedo start flashing with the current calibration and will go from left to right automatically if you don´t do anything and then goes over to km reading. If you like to change the caliberation you just pusch the button at the position you like to chnage and stepwise push the button to the desired number for each position.

When did this feature appear, and does it apply to the speedo in my 2005 4/4?

I am lifting this tread as I found it very helpful. I made the changes last night and this morning I was going to test it against my satnav. When I turned the key the speedo needle positioned to 10 km)h before I started. I switched off the engine and turned the key again. Then the speedo raised to 20 km/h. After another switching of the ignition key the speedo needle started on 50 km/h. My heart beat started to raise and I blamed myself for fiddling with the speedo. Despite the wrong speedo I drove off for some kilometers and stopped the car. Then I tried to calibrate the speedo to th original value, but without success. I then dove off again and stopped after some kilometers. The speedo sill malfunctioning. Then I started again to drive back home without trying to calibration the speedo. Then all of a sudden the needle went down to the zero position. I started to drive and the speedo showed 10% to much. Then I made another stop, re calibrated again, drove off, stopped and started the engine again - wioah! the needle whwnt down to zero and the speedo is now 5% over. Another daY I will make it down to 1%.
Am I the only one with a car with this behavior of the speedo calibration?
