Very true Richard. I had an uneasy walk to the post office today. Everyone I passed doing their best to distance themselves.
The PO is in a small Nisa store which added to the fun. when did posting a parcel get to pose a threat to me & my family.

Flying would be good. I’ve never flown from Old Sarum, but it used to be a very nice place for lunch, and watching the airfield activity. There is not much flying these days, just a skydiving school. I’d suggest Compton Abbas instead - lovely grass hilltop with an excellent cafe!

Know both very well. A regular hedge hop from Bournemouth in the 90's. Popham had similar atmosphere. The old toilet bowl in the signals square always amused me innocent

Agree, the small normal things are the things I miss most. We are into our 2nd week of lockdown and Eddie Elk came by yesterday, he seemed somewhat confused as the humans were no where to be found so he continued to munch his way up the mountain side.

Giving my kids a big hug...

Sadly, GA at Old Sarum has ended, there is only commercial flying and that doesn't include the Tiger Moth, only the Sky Diving.
The Cafe has also shut.

As you probably know Bruce we are not quite there but feel it coming due to the current level of stupidity going on. This self imposed isolation we are doing is bad enough and that's only been for a week, mind you a quick solitary blast in the Morgan yesterday worked wonders.

What a lovely sight boy you must live way out in the sticks, wonderful.

+1 for hugging my grandchildren, its the thought of them that got me through the darkest parts of Chemo of the last 6 months. Skype is good but it does not make up for the missing sticky fingers on our patio doors or the uneaten bags of treats that are sitting in the cupboard. I miss those little ones already.... (and yes the hormone therapy is making me soppy ;-))

They call it Gods Country and it is a wonderful place to live, we have more sunny days than California most days are clear blue skies. Here is a picture of Eddie Elk taken a couple of years ago and the current view.
