The national flock produces about 10 billion eggs per year, we can't get any here right now my good lady tells me.
Pasta is the only other shortage here at present.

Bread
I got the last two peppers at the local Coop. Only allowed two anyway.
They wouldn't let me have three tins of prunes.

Its a joke, even the bottled water disappeared from shelves.
There should be plenty of eggs, especially all the restaurants are closed which uses a lot of eggs!!
