Spare a thought for the Irish Beef Farmer - McDonalds purchase 40,000 tons of beef in Ireland for their burgers(thats why they are good!!) This closure will greatly affect the price of cattle and therefore the livlihood of the farmers concerned -- NOT NICE AT ALL.
Robbie, the local drive through is still open, with long lines waiting to get through the ordering and collecting point this morning. The line went through traffic lights and backed up onto the A36.
So whilst you can't go in and order a takeaway you can order using the touch screen thing, pay contactless and then collect. It shares a carpark with a "Purple Palace", most of the spaces were full with people eating in their cars.
Weird.
