Not linked - just failed on 2 items.

I wonder what adjustment is made to enable the parking brake to pass an MOT and whether this could be done before each MOT?

Did you use a Morgan dealer or the nearest MOT place?
As has been said, a perfectly set up and adjusted parking brake on an Aero is marginal. Williams adjust the brake before the car goes off for the MOT, Even so I've had a couple of Advisories: this time it passed without comment.
The headlamp warning light is in a module that holds all the warning lights between the fuel/temp gauge. I had to have mine replaced, Not expensive, less than 100 quid. The headlamp warning is so bright now it is impossible to miss.
Screen washers: probably clogged up through lack of use.

Ref handbrake: They is a wear adjuster on the side of the caliper
Ref the main beam warning light: I fixed mine by removing the module and re-soldered the LED dry joints.

I did.

It's a shame to have had so many fails - the online MOT history is not pretty.

Think I will coordinate the service and first MOT due this year for the Aero with Ledgerwood - might be a couple of months gap.

Plus 4 is 10 years old and never failed - just have it serviced with a local garage - MOT tester struggles to get in and of the Plus 4 though and didn't have a clue with the handbrake.

You are legally allowed to drive a car without an MOT to a booked appointment for an MOT test.

I am pretty sure that in normal times it is a requirement to book a MOT appointment with the garage and for them to record it as such, in order that the police can if required check with the garage to see you are not just taking a chance of running around without tax and MOT thinking if stopped I will just say I am on my way to an MOT station...?

Of course these are not normal times and quite when and how we might get back to normality...?

I know nothing of Covids potential to spread on and in a Morgan, but fail to see that there is not obvious risk involved by at least two folk using the same steering wheel gearstick door handles (if fitted (-:) car within a vehicle... Risk of spreading what and to where... Hmm?

Posted this yesterday I have not altered my thinking.... Yet.!

I would dislike to be thought of as a spoil sport, however as best I can understand the situation is that all responsible individuals should be taking as many measures as possible to reduce the possible demand on the NHS relative to their OWN choice of activity, ie, reducing the risk of necessarily involving others to recover you and yours, or me and mine from any situation...?

Morgans may occasionally break down, some even have accidents, thus taking the Mog out for a run would seem to introduce a measure of risk for how many others, till you return from whence you came...?

Of course if one has to use any vehicle as a key worker, or for any other truly justifiable reason then why not use the Morgan, though I guess there is perhaps a risk that others might think you are just out for a selfish jaunt.. hmm..? Difficult times indeed...?

Though BoJo may well tighten things up a bit for those who up till now seem to be failing to understand the possible effect of their actions on others, let alone themselves and those they care for..?

Just thinking in type.
