I replaced the factory ones on my 2008 +4 days after picking the car up as I had the same problems - they simply don't have sufficient adjustment to make them useable! Got my round ones from Heart of England Morgans, and I didn't have any problems with the fitting.
Congrats on the car BTW - I must say I'm surprised you didn't try one out before you bought it!

At 30mph should run in nicely.. Mirrors I had the same problem ..Librands round mirrors did the trick. My wife uses the car all the time and she is very short so they need to be very adjustable and give a clear rear view..I also changed the interior mirror at the same time .big improvement .. Why do the factory insist on fitting wing mirrors that every one finds quite useless ...Do they never listen to the complaints.. You will love the plus 4 it gets better as the miles build up.

I find the drivers side mirror on my (lhd) sport gives an excellent field of view, but for the passenger side the only way one can set the mirror so that you can see anything from it is with the stalk in a near vertical position, which puts the lens so far inboard that the world behind on that side is all seen at a rather weird angle. Just psyching myself up to put the stalk in a vice & address it with a persuading tool. Rear view mirror attached to the screen is spot on.

Oh, and congrats on the new car. Hope you enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying my 4/4 sport.

There is probably a minimum size for door mirrors, and the interior mirror, plus a dip facility, and plastic surround for crash 'protection' so that's what you get.

on our 1978 the side-mirrors bowed inwards at 90miles/hr on my 2009 they "swinged" inwards at 100miles/hr the aftermarket (librands) round once, were fine, even on track/RING you need those or just drive a lot faster so you DON'T need them (you can see the SpeedCamFlash in the originals too )
