It’s partly old news

Morgan was looking at designing a coupe with 60’s styling last year which was announced about the same time as the new chassis

They even released some of Jon Well’s early design sketches

I’m sure things are still progressing

It would be great if it looked similar to an early XK

Well having spent a lot of money building a new design and development centre away from the factory that surely must suggest that some new models are on their way. Otherwise why invest so much money?

So far the team have hardly designed anything of note apart from the bulbous back end of the last Aero and a few interiors....the latest cars are just slightly modified trad shapes. Matt Humphries was the last designer in my view.

This was the article back in 2018, it was posted on here and discussed at the time but the news of the new chassis caused the most discussion

I am really surprised that a new CX Aero was not (not) shown this year at Geneva. Surely there must be a new Aero in the wings to be followed by a coupe version.

I believe that they are working on a new shaped coupe but not intending to return to the Aero shape for the foreseeable future

I think it was good first of all to put the time and energy into such a good looking Plus 4. My guess is that it was damn difficult to make the car look so authentic and traditional. And they did it with all their heart and not half. It's not just "form follows function" like the steel frame. It's letting it look like such a traditional steel frame car. The devil is in the details.
If the new shapes are implemented just as well, we can look forward to beautiful modern cars.
