Very nice, Simon. It seems a shame that no-one will get to see it! What material is used for the bayonet fitting? We use nylon 12 for the bayonet fitting I prototyped on my hot rodded Ultimaker 2, but I sub these out now to a bureau and have them sintered... It doesn’t matter if no one sees it, I know it’s been done right... Simon @ Sifab.co.uk Sifab temporary @gmail.com

We use lots of 3D printed components in nylon as end use products ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/22/B63CED8A-C1CD-433E-957C-F91C39293BE0.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/22/50D70C75-79B4-42FB-9844-AD35CC9513A4.jpg) These are the baffle flaps fitted around the collector boxes used inside the competition fuel tanks ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/21/45811146-02D5-43CD-82A6-723FFFCBFA7E.jpg) You can see them here, surrounding an in-tank high pressure fuel pump ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/21/D97D844D-693E-4B8C-A858-427E9FF6A3EE.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/21/0E542A8E-4398-46AF-91C9-3BAAACE81F31.jpg) And here’s the pump and it’s 3D printed retaining bracket out side of the tank prior to fitting Simon @ Sifab.co.uk Sifab temporary @ gmail.com

Simon, it looks like the resistive strips for the fuel level sender are exposed to direct contact with the fuel ?

And for a change of scenery..... Some BMW parts.... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/21/7FA9386E-D66B-4D19-B1AC-BC1C2FE24B42.jpg) This is a 40 ltr "D Cell", designed to fit into the spare wheel well of a BMW 3 series, foam filled and with a small sump and pick up, to run an external fuel pump ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/21/E0CD6E53-371B-4D5F-9949-FB3D9B7DDE3A.jpg) These are Group A/DTM suspension strut top mounts, to suit the E30 saloons from the late 80's/early 90's. There's a huge resurgence on building these for Historic Touring Car Racing, so we were commissioned to manufacture a small batch run Simon @ Sifab.co.uk Sifabtemporary@gmail.com

Back to something nearer to Morgan... This is the baffled sump I make for the Rover SD1 Group A historic Touring cars There’s a few Morgan race cars using them too ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/27/F78B7531-739F-42F4-8235-4F535E159F8C.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/27/E7A3E1DA-58A3-4CA6-98EA-9956982E1BA4.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/27/323393D0-54C2-4129-9028-A75717EB8C97.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/27/3FA35912-4B7E-417A-8BEF-6B96D66C9D6C.jpg) The sumps are entirely fabricated from scratch, the flange is Nickel Bronze Tig welded on to minimise distortion There’s also a bolt in Windage tray that fits over the top of the sump Simon @ Sifab.co.uk Sifab temporary @ gmail.com

Had this little cutie in about this time last year for a fuel tank. It's an Abarth 1000 The customer had an original works filler cap that he wanted to use, so we machined up a threaded collar to allow us to screw the cap onto the tank neck. The cap also had to fit perfectly through the pre cut hole in the bonnet ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/21/E228B81D-8CDE-4AD6-B92D-B1C26C85228D.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/21/55E09EE7-5364-440E-9953-03059F8D0E1E.jpg) Simon @ Sifab.co.uk Sifabtemporary@gmail.com

What a tidy garage. It puts mine to shame. Maybe I’ll get the chance to use yours as an inspiration and tidy mine up during the isolation
