Which band on a Saturday night, every band (current or passed)in the world can be booked?
Goes without saying secure hard surface parking without speed bumps will be de rigour And plates of roasties on the counter on a Sunday

Coming soon, in a few days I’ll open a sweet shop start thinking what I need to stock

If there is only one food item it must be a cheese and onion cob made with too much strong cheddar and too much coarsly chopped onion.

A wonderful memory from the 1970’s for me when West Midlands pubs served crisps, scratchins, pork pies and two flavours of filled rolls.

The ladies will drink cider and black currant.

I’ll leave others to debate the beers - I have favourites but one of them does not travel well (Marston’s Pedigree) and since Malvern is a bit of a haul from Burton on Trent it may not be a good choice.

Not quite bliss because the girl I really had the hots for was unobtainable!!!

Back to the pub after a hard days surfing on the Gower coast.staple diet of a pint and a pastie., Surrounded by rows red glowing faces. the world is a wonderful place,.......DAM I've just woken up, and that was nearly fifty years ago.

Do you remember the days when the man used to go pub to pub with a basket of cockles and prawn. And another one came with trotter and peas, and black pudding. Mind you they were drinking pubs with not the slightest hint of gastro.

That was Leeds Road in Bradford.

In addition to these wonderful wishes that I share, I would like to have imported from Germany Mett rolls and knuckle of pork with sauerkraut and also a cooling system for the beer. And I would like to be 19 years old to have better chances with the girls than playful little 17 year old boys.

We had cockles and muscles in the West Midlands. I don’t remember ever seeing trotter & peas there. In those days I could manage 6-10 pints in a session and feel fine the next day. Either the beer was weaker than it is now or I have changed ....

God forbid you should catch this nasty virus, if you do just eat that every day and it won't stand a chance

I was at university in Leicester in the mid '70s. CAMRA was just beginning to have a big impact and my friends traveled far for interesting pubs. I even tried jokingly to launch a rival organization that recognized that there was more to a good pub than good beer. I called it the Campaign for Real Authentic Pubs (CRAP).

I recall pubs with wooden bar games like Skittles and one in Stratford on Avon with an ancient wooden bowling alley that wasn't there a year later. I spent weeks of the drought summer of '76 in an archaeological dig at the top of Breedon Hill. We had lunch in a pub in the village every day It was an all you can eat ploughman's for 25p a head (I kid you not) with local cheeses, home made pickles, and big jugs of bitter shandy!
