SBM# - This

I also really think you are asking/inviting trouble driving anything that people term "not run of mill".

For the record - I'm not driving my Morgan, I haven't left the house since Tuesday,

However, in defence of 'social housing estates'. I live in an area classified as 'Urban Adversity/Struggling Estates/Low income large family in social rented semis' (for those interested - its Acorn classification is 56 out of 59)

In the 15 months my Morgan has been parked on the drive, I've had nothing but positive interest, praise and admiration. Whenever I'm out working on her, I'm alway involved in conversations from curious groups of kids on bikes, to nostalgic old boys.

I agree the old social stereotypes don't always fit today, I visit a couple of guys (bikers) regularly on a social housing estate for a run out in the Morgan and have never met any hostility far from it many interesting questions from the youngsters.
These boys are on my shopping run route 🏍.

+1 that. I've never had any problems from leaving tintop unlocked overnight with tools/ wallet on show and more; you have to have faith in people, especially in crisis; if you give off distrust/better than you vibes, and think the worst of people, bad things will happen. I've parked my Morgan roadside opposite my house since having it and not had anything but positive interaction with everyone. And they call our local social housing block Heroin Heights!

Regardless of social stigma or stereotyping, crime and damage exists. I simply do a risk assessment based on my experience of working with people under stressful circumstances and feel that I'm not prepared to take the risk. I've lost enough equipment in exchange for glass shards over the years to accept that as one ages, one should learn. Of course, that can and does happen anywhere regardless of how happy go lucky you are..!
