I am enjoying this series more so than the past. Rebuilds are more challenging and the budget up from £23k.

It is just about watchable but spoilt by advert breaks and Tim's relentless tomfoolery.

But way better than Wheeler Dealers, which I just can't sit through.

Howard, looks like Caerbont based in Ystradgynlais in the Swansea Valley. Smiths had a factory there (nicknamed the Tick-Tock factory) and several years ago it closed. It was resurrected by ex employees as Caerbont Automotive.

I caught up with the Healey episode last night. Saw the instruments bit. Also the test drive was on the A4069 Black Mountain road. A favourite with car programs for tests.

I think its Speedy Cables you want in Swansea based in old Smiths factory . Their web site says "as seen on Car SOS". They repaired the Smiths Car Themo oil/water gauge on 1930 Sunbeam. Not cheap or quick but I had a problem did not argue & sorted it.
