Set up mogrod.com recently to keep track of the restoration and customization of our '66 +4. Site's a little barren and simple at the moment, and will probably take a while to get rolling (I've got a Barracuda to finish working on). This way, unlike the forum thread elsewhere that I've kept track of the Barracuda's restoration with, I've got a dedicated location (and simple url) to share my experience from. If you're wondering about the choice of name, it's a take on "hot rod", since I'll be trying to follow in Isis Motorsports' footsteps and putting a modern drivetrain in the car while retaining the classic appearance.

Hi Flaagan,

Looks like you've got your work cut out, certainly needs more than a bit of T-cut and polish!
Like your idea of the restoration site, and look forward to following your progress.

There are many on this site who will be able to offer help and support along the way.

Good Luck

Hi Flaagan,
Looks like your going to be having some fun there my friend, but the real rewards are there at the end. Enjoy !

I will enjoy seeing the project unfold here on the interweb. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, N-M

Hi Flaagan
It looks as if most of the important parts are present. Best of luck with the rebuild. Plenty of photographs please.

An interesting project and looking forward to seeing how it develops. As already requested, please do try and post as many photos as possible.

Cheers

Definitely will be, if I get the time time weekend I'll probably put up a new post with some photos of the parts and whatnot.

By the way, if any of you follow RSS feeds, apparently you can follow the site by just putting the url into your feed reader. I tried it with Google Reader and that appeared to work ok.

All the best with the restoration. I have chassis no 6217 and no 6222 is listed on the Morgan registry site as being located in Waterford, Michigan. Looking forwards to seeing your progress.

Thanks Malcolm!

I put ours up on the registry the other day, will have to see if it's up yet. I saw that the next in line was way over in Michigan, cool to find another forum member is that close to ours in line! smile

I definitely need to find and talk with a few local owners and get some reference photos. Bill at Isis Imports is going to introduce me to one of his customers that has the ecotec conversion at some point, I'm waiting for the unusually wet spring weather here in California to clear up so I can arrange a sunny-day meetup.
