I favour Uniroyal "The Rain Tyre" fantastic grip in the wet and just as good as any in the dry - again a softer compound, but unlikely to be worn out on a Mog

Lot of sport summer tyres have a C rating on wet.

Yes +1, very happy with these

I have run Yoko and Toyo Proxes on my 1980 +8 (280bhp, 60 profile) . Proxes far better. As others have said they don't wear out. Mine have covered 35k miles in 6 years in both heat and heavy rain and this includes some spirited driving and track days. They will life expire before wearing out.

And a few others

Assuming 165/80R15 on your car, Vredestein T Trac 2 are very good and not silly money.

Not always available and don't know the current situation.

Stehen, 6 year old tyres are heading for dangerous. They may look good but I would change them as the compound will have hardened.
