What pump are you going to replace it with? And from where Bruce?

I replaced the pump with a Walbro GSS342 from Amazon like this one:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WCY80E/ref=psdc_15728151_t1_B000EVN7W8

I searched around to try and ensure it was a genuine Walbro pump. This link is helpful in explaining what is genuine and what is a knock off:

This is also useful to help spot a fake Walbro fuel pump. https://www.driven2automotive.com/blog/spot-fake-walbro-gss342-fuel-pumps-2017-18/. There are a lot about it seems. It's a good idea to buy from a reputable source. The plastic internals of the fake are a certain identifier.

I used the existing hose by gently heating it with a hairdryer to remove it from the connectors and then fitting to new pump with clamps. I have since ordered the convoluted hose as back up if I need to replace the pump again from Ebay.UK:

Thanks. With those measurements I ended up finding something pretty close from Walbro. It is near impossible to find hose measurements for all the hoses Walbro has but this one looks pretty close.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FMV3AC2/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A3TW1WCPSO49LP&psc=1

Walbro TF0001275 Fuel Pump Replacement Hose

For the 1/4" spade connectors I found these
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0071NC5NO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Supco T1111 Quick Disconnect, High Temperature, 16-14 Gauge, 1/4" Female Tab (Pack of 20)

I guess I will quit carrying around the fuel pump in my tool bag and put it to use. For the price of the Walbro you would think the factory would switch. Clearly this is a pretty hefty and quality feeling unit. From one I have read online Walbro has great reliability.

Please Post on how the install goes and if there were any issues that were unforeseen.

Curious does return line go through the filter and the feed line go directly to the injectors?

That's correct. The filter is on the return side and provides the calibrated restriction that yields the correct fuel pressure.

Is that normal? I would have thought the filter would be between the pump and injectors. I guess it removes the need for a regulator. I think I will consider putting an inline filter before the injectors as well.
