Was there ever such a car? My car is an LHD 4/4 from 2009 and as such has the Centenary badge on the dash. In Michael Palmers book "Morgan 4/4 the first 74 years" he mentions that the Sport had no options available. However, my car has the optional overriders (among other extras) which I believe cannot be retrofitted. Is there a way to see if it is a Sport? Where all 4/4's from 2009 Sports? Also, is there any way to find out how many LHD 4/4 Sports where built in 2009?
Thanks & Keep safe everyone!

The centenary was a limited edition run. DaveW will surely know.

Or maybe not John!
My understanding was that all Morgans built in 2009 got the centenary badge on the dash.
The 4/4 Sport had no options other than a small range of "Sport" colours, and two interior colours...black or tan from memory, and black wire wheels with no spare.
There was also a track-pack option, which included a roll hoop, racing seats and harnesses.
Over-riders can be retro fitted. At the front it needs the brackets and over-riders. At the rear, the tube brackets which fit in the chassis inserts and the over-riders, and holes must be cut in the rear valance.
I had this job done on my 75th Anniversary 4/4, and you have to want over-riders desperately, because it's expensive.
According to the Morganville Registry there were 246 4/4s built in 2009.

Thanks & Keep safe everyone! I took delivery of my Sport from Williams in 2009 and ordered the Moto-lita steering wheel and the Half Tonneau as extras, there were many extras available for the 4/4 Sport, I've never heard of Michael Palmer but he doesn't know much about this model for sure these are the facts at the time of release of the model. I'll scan in the then current list of available extras for the Sport in 2009, it's the summary provided by Allon White ( a well respected English dealer) at the time and maybe of interest to you. They all came with the winged Centenary badge on the dash. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/06/sport001485ad67780e1dbab.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/06/sport002.jpg) I still have the original advertising brochure for the Sport. As far as production numbers go I cannot help you with that one. The dash badge allied with the very neat rear reflectors mounted on the trailing edge of the rear wings (later production models changed as they fell off) is a true 2009 model 4/4 Sport identifier. I can post an image for confirmation if necessary.

Thank you for the replies guys!
Yes I also have the rear reflectors on the trailing edge. Where these changed for 2010?
(I cant find the over riders on the options list...)
Was the 4/4 sport the only 4/4 available in 2009?
Would Morgan answer if I asked how many LHD 4/4's where made you think....
P.S. Morganville Registry is amazing!! :-)

To the best of my knowledge it was 2010 that they changed the reflectors. We have a couple of factory guides on here that maybe can help out with this one and the LHD question. My best guess is that the owner saw these fitted to another car and had them put on at a later date as you correctly say they weren't on the options list back at the launch time. It's always worth asking the question of the factory once they open up again. Enjoy your kilometres I thoroughly enjoyed my Sport and covered 24,000 trouble free miles in it, arguably the purist Morgan ever built and I agree with that statement

I'll dig some out and post Craig. This was her in Henry's original showroom in Brizzle before he fitted the new steering wheel. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/06/Morgan-Mostly-001.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/06/Morgan-Mostly-002.jpg) On safari in London village on the way to the Union Jack Club underground car park - in town for an ex boss/comrades funeral. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/06/London-Village-006.jpg) After the same trip that I combined with visiting relatives so a busy very quick 1,500 miles of salt and muck - not quite like yours Craig she had around 20,000 on the clock here after 3 years. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/06/London-Village-001.jpg)

Hi, mine is a 4/4 Sport and also 2009 centenary model with the Centenary badge on the dash and I fitted the overiders myself last year. Some one could have retrofitted them onto yours at any time, not necessarily straight away.

The Tan interior goes really well with Sports Green, good colour combo, I bet you miss it...
