thanks for the memories, Honor!

I didn't know that she was a despatch rider. She must have been very young. My father was a despatch rider leading up to Dunkirk and he would be 102 today if he was still alive. Actually he was lucky to be picked up unconscious in a field by the last truck in the last convoy. They got him on a boat and he recovered consciousness half way across the channel, but that is another story.

Such a shame that the news of her passing was hardly even mentioned, in any other circumstances we would have had a lot of tributes and a look back at her life and career. The same happened when Roy Hudd passed away last month, there was much that could have been said but wasn't.

I don't want to trivialise the current situation with Corvid-19, but I've just watched the BBC lunchtime bulletin where the main story is that: BoJo is in intensive care / he is in good spirits / is NOT on a ventilator, information that I was able to absorb in as long as that takes to say. I didn't need telling more than once but the whole of the first 15 minutes of the programme was taken up with reporter after reporter repeating the same words. As usual, there were no stories in the entire 30 minutes that weren't coronavirus related. I do think the news people could spare time to tell us what else is going on.

Rant over. RIP Honor ... and Roy and Eddie.

The best Bond Girl of them all.
Oozed class, presence, sex appeal.
A damn good actress who was also a character.
RIP
