It’s that time of year when my insurance renewal thuds onto the doormat and I open the envelope in trepidation, expecting to see a massive second year of cover hike in premium and anticipating having to switch insurers to get the “new business discount.
Not so! My insurance through Morgan Insurance Consultants in Alton Hampshire only went up 4% to £270 per annum. I can also avail myself of their Morgan Rescue U.K. and Europe roadside rescue for only another £35 per annum. What’s not to like!
Well yes, that's the point about going to a broker. You pay a bit of commission to avoid all that "new business" annual price-rise nonsense.

G & W £319 including their breakdown cover, which is a pretty good risk for them since it hasn't been out of the garage since last October.

I have just been notified of a 15% refund on my insurance for the 3 Morgans as a result of less claims due to the COVID crisis, can't complain at that. Mine too. The +8 and motorhome are with Safeco and my other rides are with Liberty Mutual

My insurance with Morgan Insurance has been very steady for the past eight years - no doubt it will go up in Sept. following my recent dancing on ice accident. Even so they, as usual, will shop around for the best deal. They are also very helpful people to work with and unlike some of the large companies do not charge an arm and a leg for answering the telephone.
You may be surprised Phil. When my renewal came in last year I was expecting a big increase after my car had a burst radiator and engine fire whilst at Le Mans. The bill must have been huge as it covered shipping from France to UK, new alternator, new hoses, complete new wiring harness, fitting of new radiator and a lot of labour. Much to my surprise the premium increase was only a couple of percent. I'm with Gott & Wynn.
