Went to the local town for some sugar substitute and was stopped by the Garda- asked where I was going so I told him that I needed it because as I was an old git, I was borderline type 2 and therefore shouldn’t have sugar. He says” carry on, but clearly you’re not too old a git to drive a nice car” - shows a) a sense of humour and b) taste!!!!!! If your border line type 2 diabetes and have a low blood sugar level (hypoglycaemia) then you shouldn’t be driving.

I am obviously late to the party - but has the special project car been finished and is now with you Brian? Thanks Neil, it was finished nearly a year ago but stayed at the factory for a while as MMC wanted to use it, but in the end didn’t. Did I read somewhere that you are moving house, is that now on hold because of the virus or have you done it? Looking forward to the usual meet up when we are free to do it Neil... Hi Brian.... Yes I did move house. A weekend of high drama as half my belongings were in the new house and half in the old - just as the country went into lockdown. Impeccable timing! My removal company cancelled on the eve of the move, so I scrambled to hire a van and did it myself. I am now in splendid isolation in rural Hampshire. Looking forward to drinking a vat of Pomerol with you when this is over. Can’t wait Neil, by then I’ll have had plenty of practice as both Yapp Brothers and Mr Wheeler are still operating and I’ve been regular a customer as we demolish the ‘cellar’! Mr Wheeler has released the 2013 Chateau Musar, which has some aficionados on TM, though with the warmer weather it’s nice to move from Bordeaux style blends to some of the lighter Burgundies (though crazy prices!) and the Gamays from Beaujolais which are really much improved. Anyway enough wine talk, looking forward to meeting up with you and Peter (?) in the wilds of Hampshire! Enjoy the rest of Easter 🐣 and stay safe - see you on the other side...
Brian

Gave the ARP4 a clean and polish early morning, then thought I'd take it out as I needed to sort something out for work and get some shopping. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/11/20200208_131828.jpg) Sorry about the skip but we are trying to replace our kitchen, Covid means we are delayed but at least 3 weeks. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/11/20200405_1349556173.jpg) - car looks glorious Jonny James Despite the skip the ARP4 looks great , a very special rare Mog and not far away either ! Are you in folkmog , haven't seen this car before . When things loosen up a bit please come to the meet ups , they are listed on folkmog site ! Possibly I could beg a passenger ride ? Hi, Not been to a normal meet yet. I did go to the track day last year but I had a 3 wheeler at the time. I'll have a look at the calendar once we are back to normal. You are more than welcome to come along for a ride, any excuse to drive the car.

Yes cleaned mine including the wire wheels, sprayed lithium grease on the rear springs as best I can (4 seater, they are hidden), repaired a small run of loose trim on a sidescreen and went out for 10 minutes just to move it all around a bit. While the roads were quiet with few cars around the pavements were very busy with people walking and exercising on bicycles, dogs were being walked and the high street was once again busy with shoppers. i don't think I've ever seen so many pedestrians out and about.

Out of the garage; stood admiring the classic lines from the driver's side; washed, polished & waxed; stood admiring the classic lines from the passenger side; wheels off to clean the wires; greased suspension; wheels on; admired the classic lines with a glass of wine in hand and some heartfelt, longing sighs; back into the garage.[img] [/img] [img] [/img]

I recall the Plus 8 filler caps from that period were on the N/S, but that one is well hidden.
