My road tax is £160 for the year, so I’m not going to SORN mine for a saving of £13 a month when I can use it for occasional supermarket trips, on nice days.

Mine is £550 and I am not taking it off the road. It is worth the money for a one day a week drive to the shops.

I have not sorned my car. I don’t like the idea of it sitting for long periods and have made a rule of 2 weeks maximum without a drive. That has passed so I will do next week’s shop in the Mog, only 3 miles eachway but at least car will be moving and brakes, suspension, engine exercised! The engine will be run until the fan kicks in on the return. Ray, you will probably hear it!

Mine is due next month. My 2012 4/4 is now £165.00 a year from April so at under £14 a month I agree its probably not worth SORNing so I can keep the wheels turning.
If I had the last of the Trad 1600cc 4/4's 2017 onward the road would be £165 plus £320 for the first 6 years so at £485.00 I might give SORNing a bit more thought.

The HSBC App lets me pay a cheque in by taking a picture of it and uploading the picture - Max £500 one cheque, £750 in cheques in one day.
I believe Barclays has something similar but not used it.
That's very smart. Regrettably it seems that's not a facility yet offered by my own bank so I shall have to make a detour to the local branch the next time I am on my weekly shopping excursion.

Had a problem with the SORN process. SORN'd car on line on 26/3/2020, had an email confirming straight away. The email also stated that my DD would be cancelled. Payment went out 1st April, assumed there may be a delay between SORN and refund. Checked status today and the vehicle is still taxed next payment due 1st April 2021. Went through the process of enquiring via email only to receive one back stating they will not be responding to my enquiry. Apparently I will have to go via web-chat tomorrow if I can find an adviser that is free. Anyone else had a similar experience? Was it resolved? Thanks in advance for any comments.

I do like your strap line about the homing mutley
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
