Difficult to exactly see how public transport , and air travel and airports and hotels are going to deal with numbers of people if as is likely there is still no vaccine till then . Antibodies don't seem to help either unless the evidence changes. This is going to make travel risky/not viable if planes/hotels can't seperate people to make them avoid contact . The travel industry must be racking their brains on this one .

Steve, I agree. Unless we all get vaccinated or have immunity I can't see how it can work. Certainly not outside of the UK & vice versa.

The immunity/ vaccine factor is the key to any exit strategy.
Vaccine is someway off so hopefully the immunity/antibody route will work.
Anyone who expects a quick return to pre-Covid normality is not being realistic.
The government faces a very difficult decision on exit.
I hope that they improve the information passing on to get the message across. So far it has caused confusion with varying interpretation by the public, businesses, police and worst of all the media.

Not booked any European trips this year, as even without Covid, Brexit still lurks in the background. Just the thought of all the lorry drivers at Ferry ports with incorrect paperwork was enough to out me off for this year!

My yearly travel insurance has just removed any cover for Covid 19 and its effects.

Did a quick check and could find no other insurer offering Covid cover.

So that and the EHC no longer being valid after Brexit, stymies any thoughts of morganeering outside the UK for some significant time, possibly years.😢

I read the covid19 USA homeland report with interest in particular the virus dies in sunlight, we need to find out which light spectrum in particular REMEDIAL HELP can be given to sufferers by subjecting patients lungs to specific wavelength of light from maybe inserted light sources in the lungs? ie high power LEDS light emitting diodes.

Or pehaps sunbeds may have a use?

Foreign travel will have the same risk factors as any other local social contact - work, commuting, shopping, pubs, restaurants and UK holidays etc.

If anything the current density of CV in the UK makes many other place slightly less dangerous. Of course the issue is that you may be making their site worse!

I’ll just be relieved and surprised if all my nearest and dearest come out the other side of this Chinese takeaway, and holiday plans can be ad hoc as no body knows where or when travel will be safe. One guarantee is that it won’t involve a caravan 🥱🧨
