Just Getting Started
My Morgan history

During the lockdown as well as finishing off a few jobs on my 1969 Morgan 4/4 I have been trying to contact some of its previous owners. Today I received a mail from the chap who owned it in the 1980/1990’s. He provided this picture of the car on a skiing trip in about 1984. So time well spent !

Nice car Phil. (the "e" bit was a reference to the file extension).

Interesting reggo - there is a photo in a Morgan +4 book (an old one, not Phil Benfield's latest buying used) which shows a +4 reg: YNP 3G. It was a factory hack for a while (2.0 ltr Fiat engine). Eventually it was purchased by Greg Dixon-Smith (supply chain gent and fellow Prescott marshal) a few years ago. It now has a 2 ltr Duratech motor. Greg has used it in competition - car trials, hill climbs &c - quick car, very quick driver! smile

Commander James Bond RN should drive a Morgan, with some skies in case the bad asses come along!

Yes Dave, imagine 007 in a Morgan! Unfortunately Aston Martin donate around £8,000,000 plus cars for each JB film, poor ol’ Morgan haven’t got a chance....

John Steed fits better to a Morgan than James Bond does.

Interestingly my first 4/4 was of the same ilk. I believe the NP in the reg indicates it was registered in Worcestershire.
