I have recently changed the exhaust manifold for a Librands one (thanks RBW for letting me look at yours), the next step will be the ECU remap.

As far as I can see the choices are using the Factory or Williams Automobiles @ Bristol.
Are they both the same thing does anyone know?

Techniques advertise an Aero Racing upgrade and reflash but I dont know if they do the reflash themselves.

Anyone be elsewhere?

Many places are currently closed of course because of the dreaded virus.

Thanks

Hi Tim,

When all this is over I would happily take you out in mine to show you the difference between having the map and not if you are interested.

Mine was done by the factory, I removed my ECU and posted it to them, cost was around £250 excluding postage if I remember correctly.

I would be interested in knowing the differences if anyone is aware?

Tim,
I sent my ECU to Williams but I think they got the factory to actually do the remap - getting it done was the best thing I did - much better mpg and really noticeable power improvement
I would fully recommend using Williams - I have no connection but find their attention and service to be first class.
Cheers!!

I have contacted the factory and been told that the ECU flash is dependant upon the exhaust system:-
"Please could you inform us which exhaust system you have had fitted to your GDI. This will determine what flash would be correct. If it is the Morgan Club Sport Sports system (full system) then it will require the Club Sport flash. If it’s an alternative system then it would require the enhancement flash."

Anyone else come across this ?

I entrusted my ECU to Williams in Bristol and was not disappointed - I have the standard exhaust and manifold and Williams knew this. My motive was to improve MPG and this was achieved ( 33 ish to 40 ish) and the kick in the backside from 2800 revs was a bonus. It is now as it should have always been.

Well happy!!

Not exactly this, but originally the Club Sport Flash was only available with the full Aero Racing manifold, cat & exhaust.

Steve T had the flash done at the factory with the original manifold and cat, but the Club Sport exhaust, and RBW had the flash done at the factory with a Librands manifold and cat.

The suggestion that there is two versions of the flash is news to me...……………..

Judging by the disparities we had amongst the the Club Sports last year in the Morgan Challenge, I'd suggest there's more than 2 maps floating around out there....

Factory have come back to say I can have the Enhancement flash, but they cant do it at the moment because the key staff have been furloughed.
So I shall have to wait and maybe then also talk to Williams Automobiles and BHM

Back in February, following advice and input from the good posters on this site I booked may car in for service, MOT, full AR exhaust system including twin tailpipes and CS flash/upgrade.

All to be done today and as to be expected I have been ticking the days off the calendar in anticipation.

What an anticlimax, at this rate it's likely to be fitted just in time to...…... er........put the car away for the winter! ooo

Ah well, with everything that's going on at the moment if that's all I have to whinge about I should be extremely thankful. thumbs
