As I frequently do not notice that the clicking sound of my indicators are on due to the noise, I am considering fitting an Audiocator. The connections seem fairly easy, but where is he best place to connect to the existing wiring of the Mog? This product is developed for motorcycles where the wiring is easily accessible and distances are short - not so on a Mog. Anybody here done this and could give some advice?

I wired mine up by the flasher unit but I don't know if that's practical on yours. The one thing I did do that might be of help to you was to wire it to an unused switch on the dash so I could switch it off if necessary.

I placed it onther the carpet, on the top of the vertical woden panel, in front of the toolbox. Almost in the top corner of that panel ,so I can hear the noise over my left shoulder.( LHD ) I used the wiring of the rear indicators to control it.

Thanks for answers so far, but what I really wanted to know was where to place the actual connections between the Audiocator and the existing wiring. Under the dash? In the engine bay? Need for elongating the Audiocator wires to reach practical connection points? Tmg513; by "flasher unit" do you mean the indicator stalk on the steering column (i.e. under the dash) or the flasher/indicator itself?

You can get 'buzzer' indicator relays, which are a direct swap for the existing one, and no need for additional wiring. (and under a tenner!)

That is what I did as well . I bought the buzzer relay off fleabay. A dead easy switch.

Just checked ebay and there's a company that do one with a adjustable delay, so it doesn't come on straight away. Three wire connections - £12 delivered (UK).

Robbie I think Stefan answered your question - connecting into the wiring to the rear indicators.
I have one of these I was going to fit to my '76 car. Perhaps I should find it (still in the packaging) and add it to the present car.

Robbie, my previous S1 Roadster was the same age as yours, I was nervous splitting the harness so I ended up extending the Audicator wires all the way through to under the wings and then swapping out the relevant bullet connectors for 'doubles' and spurring in there, then I piggybacked onto the spade end connector of the hydraulic brake switch, I took the power feeds from under the dash & self tapped the tiny speaker to the steering column cover

it's a bit time consuming and fiddly, but well worth it, I still think the Audicator is a brilliant invention & really miss it on my 3.7

Didn't know those things existed. Just bought a buzzer off ebay for a couple of pounds. Now need to figure out where to wire it too. A replacement relay would have been much simpler! Is it just a straight swap?
