I watched the program with awe. I thought Murray was already a legend in his own lifetime but soon realised there was much more to him than his F1 commentating ever showed. notworthy

His father Graham was just as interesting with his 14 years of TT racing, and then giving Murray a 'Graeme' first name is a novel differentiation.

Brian,
as a start you might find some stuff on Graham Walker
at
http://www.nationalmotormuseum.org.uk/do...act%20Sheet.pdf

This also worth a look:

My own personal modern day favourite is Guy Martin- not least because although a great rider, he's a bit of a throwback to a different era ( as I suppose were the Dunlop brothers in some ways)
Have alook at:

Thanks Gerwyn, great links. My father was a great motorcycle fan and rider, but having had a couple of bad accidents on his bikes I was banned. So when he talked about people like "Flying Freddie" it was more likely to be his time tuning Riley's, rather than his motorcycle (and side-car) exploits. wink

I'm still going to Google for a book on these prewar guys, as they certainly had massive something or others!

Cheers
B
