Virtually any of the already listed but my dream would be an Amilcar C6 ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/25/image-1.jpg)

For me, it has to be a 2 CV
Specially a Plums and Custard Dolly from the 1980s.
Should ave bought one new in the 80s but the (then) Mrs Fat Wolfie refused to be seen dead in one. So I bought a new 3 door Escort 1.1 Pop instead, starting an life long loathing of the Blue Oval.
Am currently “negotiating” with the current Mrs FW to get permission to secure one. Have my eyes on a couple but pandemic lockdown has rather spoilt progress. I had a couple FW. A secondhand T reg in yellow I bought for my first wife. When she pointed out as passenger, she could see the road below her feet I patched it up and sold it. Later we bought a new Dolly between two 205 GTi's. It was red and white when the only other option was green and white. Great fun exploring narrow Dorset lanes after a move darn sarf from West London. You felt you could touch the hedgerows through the roof on the bends it leant so much

Another option within a reasonable price range ![[Linked Image]](https://up.picr.de/38380238xh.jpeg) That is a good photo of a very pretty car.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Thanks Alistair for the memory jog, definitely an Iso Grifo we saw one of these in this colour during our TM behind the scenes visit to Haynes last autumn undergoing some modifications and in the metal it was drop dead gorgeous. I like the De Tomaso Pantera GTS but these just finished the job properly imho. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/25/is.png) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/25/io.png)

In 2010 we did a huge trip in Australia (I drove 12,500 km and we also went with a tour in the NT and flew from Darwin to Brisbane before returning home to Italy) At a couple of places camping areas in the central desert we came across a group of 2 CVs, some of them wild and wonderful variations. Apparently they had been to a rally somewhere and a group of them, mostly retired, simply decided to keep going. I think their aim was to go right round Australia. We had a 4 wheel drive so we were taking a lot of unsealed roads whereas they were following the main sealed highway, none the less a big trip for a bunch of 2CVs

Here’s what might be a classic, yours for the taking, it’s on the hill behind the 5000 year old flint mine. Don’t just buy a one way ticket though, it might not start. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2020/04/25/01B6482A-05D5-41FF-B512-E8C674967BE6.jpg)
