Thanks for that. Think there was an outing in the 60’s as well? Not a flat rad though. Chris Lawrence/Richard Shepherd-Barron, 13th place overall, 1st in Class Page 40, as above There was another attempt the year (or two) before that which was unsuccessful. (International Advernture II by John C Clarke - his first book International Adventure covered the pre-war entry - both well worth a read if you can find them)

Interestingly, this has made me think about what it is I find so attractive in vintage race/sports cars ..... and it's the fact that the wheels arrive first ...the usually large, spoked and knock-on wheels are farthest forward and the rad and the rest tuck in behind them ...that gives the cars a real purposeful look ..... later cars with enclosing wings and with the rad leading have a different feel ..... and the 'fully enclosed' cars yet another. Part of my heart belongs to the wheels-first era ..... I think some of what attracts me to the Morgan is that the proportions of the front end means it carries some of that look through into the full-wing style ...best of two worlds There are beautiful cars in all three categories that I would love to own ....with Morgan being one of the prettiest of the middle type K Ps still interested in any pics of specials

That is lovely. Maybe I could mod my Roadster whilst in lock down? I think not on reflection given my skill level.

Arrrghhh ...what have I done ..... a triumvirate of disaster. An interesting but dangerous idea + bored and incarcerated Morgan owners+ power tools = almost infinite possibility for automotive atrocity Of course the devil on my other shoulder says "it might turn out really great" But probably best to stick to pictures unless you have an unerring eye for design K

You only have to ask... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/27/3bd4c4c2ab1082d4f70b4460b91e87ff.jpg) Kevfitz .... is/was that your car? It's front end look is reminiscent of some Allard cars and the Kougar Jaguars Do you have other pics? K

A plus 8 was being prepared for a tilt at LeMans too but didn't quite make it , resides in Holland now I believe. . Yes , that was me and John Macdonald under the name of Normog Racing in the 1970s. One car was built and was fitted with a Traco modified Rover V8 engine (about 320 bhp I seem to remember) It was registered as OTN 4 , and passed through Chas Windridge's hands before being exported to Sweden. It got auctioned in Germany last year , and only made a fraction of its perceived value due to the very poor condition. Would be happy to update the current owner on some of the history if they would like to contact me.
