Roof looks great on the S5 - much better than the pram hood look, but its the biggest compromise for me given the hassle involved putting it up and down. I try to take it down in April and put it back up in October. The boot struts also separate the luggage area into three spaces. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/19/aero.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/19/ae1.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/19/2017-09-09_13-31-41_000.jpg)

Nice shots David..
I would solve roof issues with... a 9" angle grinder and fit aero screens...now that would give a great side profile shot !!!!
Come on David cutting blades are cheap and Im sure you have the spare time now !!!!

Some years ago this story of a new Aero would have got my blood pumping. But after my experience with my S5 which I recently sold, never again. I previously had an S3 and in my opinion it was a better car. You could use the boot (The S5 looks bigger from the outside but you actually get less in it due to the boot struts). There was a parcel shelf for more storage. I prefered the swooping rear tail lights and rear end than the bulbous rear of the S5 and the roof could be taken on/off in seconds (useful in the English climate) unlike the S5. Then there were the constant returns to the factory with the S5 for what seemed like endless faults (short on the windscreen wipers hence came on and could not be turned off at intervals, driver side window never sealed throughout ownership leaving a gap the wind blew through, front headlight did not work post delivery etc).
So, after 8 years of Aero ownership, I am now Morganless. Great company, but in my view the S5 was the poorest of the Aeros to live with, give me an S3 any day. None the less, long live Morgan.
Now, I have a brand new Porsche 718 Spyder sat in the garage......I just need the lock down to lift to put some miles on it.
Adios Morganeers, it's been.......fun (most of the time!) :-)

You could buy an S3 and enjoy ? Is the 718 the one with the 4 litre engine ?

Hi Madmax Believe me I considered getting an S3 for the garage. But I am not sure post S5 that will go down well.....yet Yes the 718 is with the 4 litre engine and what an engine and manual gearbox. I have been very fortunate to have had some fantastic cars in my life but the 718 Spyder is a keeper. It is the GT4 without a roof whereas previous Spyders were not....and dontcha know it when driving it. The handling is as if the car is on rails. For now it is more than enough for me. I can see another Morgan in my garage one day......timing is everything!!

RIP S5 or till death us do part? Had a look at the Spyder - think they are hard to get hold of and expensive - any pics? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/04/28/4D3411D5-FDBC-4F80-A6CC-145C47833F3C.jpg)
