Excellent memory. I had forgotten it was Richard Plant. I was camping down the road at Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, where we have been ever since. Not aloud to park at Arnage corner on a Friday anymore, think that stopped around about 2007..... I think the Miscellany article well bring back memories to many a Morgan owner. BTW My profile photo is taken on the raod back from Le Mans beside a roundabout at Falaise keep safe. Steve Miscellany drop through the door today, I saw there was an article about the Vagabones' visits to Le Mans. Imagine my surprise when I see a photo of my Morgan at Arnage in 2006. I expect only Simon and Rob H will be able to identify it, although my son did recognise me by the ski jacket I was wearing. Steve My copy had yet to arrive. My memory of our meeting at Arnarge in 2006, was yourself, Rob in his blue +8, Richard Plant in his red +8 racer, Ian in his modified white Plus 4, amongst others. Interesting that both you and I still have our same cars. That day continued with a lunchtime trip to a winery, followed by an evening bar-b-que at a chateau! Good race that year, but chuffing hot and getting drinking water was a challenge.

My copy had yet to arrive.
You can download it from the MSCC website.. I usually get it from there these days, the MSCC website is much easier to log on to since they changed it.

I'm there in that photo in the very background, wearing a dark red MSCC top. I still have it, so it must be 15 years old at least.  Steve,

Miscellany arrived today and I’ve had a chance to read the article. Lots of memories, with glimpses of my 4/4 in pictures 3 & 10; and also parked on the far right in front of the chateau. (I later sold the number plate S800 MOG to Jays). I spotted myself in picture 3. Tertre Rouge bar at midnight; the chateau owners’ dog peeing on the back of a seated Vagabond; hopeless attempts at trying to stay close behind Rob’s +8 when he gave it the beans; getting badly sunburned in 2006; soaked in 2007 and I can’t remember the weather in 2008; bottles of Welsh Whisky; very cheap wine boxes of red wine from the supermarket; listening to the Waterboys at the evening concert in 2006, UB40 in 2010; and finally the memories of stunning racing. Well done Rob for putting the article together.
